But what caught my attention and everyone else's here in the office...is the rumor that some? or what if? those who took the test were in fact college graduates? (having a master's degree is a prerequisite to take the licensure exam...to see more of the blog spot, view it here
Hmmm...sourgraping? maybe not...tsismosa lang talaga wahaha

nope! this is not a setup or a lame audition for PDA! kidding!
we have this annual thing where Seton personnel prepare production numbers and present this in a program for Dr. Suarez' bday...
so here's our number this year...
forgive the night mode setting of the videocam...it was dark in the auditorium of course...and this is an amateur vid so expect the heckling in the background haha
and look for me tripping through my dance moves wahahaha
When: Foundation Week, President's Night, Aug 29, 2008 Where: Seton South Auditorium Who: non teaching faculty and staff from Seton main campus
Was quite frustrated early this morning...i already had some things planned for the day...me being the "organized" individual that i am hekhek....was planning to accomplish something for this day...and i got sidetracked by this annoying individual who just asked for an impromptu meeting this morning...as if these othe rpeople can just let go of te work they have and heed the call...aaaaargggghhh...ok fine am just one of the subordinates and just have to follow...but hey...i should know the difference ...who to follow and who my rightful boss is (she isn't in this matter I report directly to someone else for this project)...sorry vague ba? don't want to give any details at baka makarating sa kanya ito...lagot nako haha...
just venting out...
then this quote i read while doing my "browsing of fave sites" struck me...and i don't know whether it relates to my annoying incident this morning or not...but hey...let's try it shall we?
"The right thing isn't always real obvious. Sometimes the right thing for one person is the wrong thing for someone else. So... good luck figuring that out."
— Charlie Swan from the book Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
in layman's term...
ang kay Juan kay Juan...ang kay Pedro kay Pedro...wahahaha...wag ipressure ang taong stressed out na! ... hayaan na mastressed out yun tao na yun sa sariling pace nya! wahahaha
first off...we had a seminar on managing finances on a holiday =P... then we had the usual kampise where we were dressed up filipiniana style...the guidance peeps were muslims...didn't get to have a group pic of our own...then the usual scattering of activities...didn't have much photos for the palarong pinoy and other days at the booth...then the last day - the "party" was held at seton south...after the usual presentation from the diff units...we dined out under stars haha...and just went home afterwards...
found this while checking out anything Twilight =P this would be a fitting Lullaby for Bella and I think this will be included in the movie's soundtrack... the movie will be out earlier...November 20! can't wait =P
attending a seminar on managing your finances while anxiously replying to your friends' "summons" to go to Rockwell afterwards to have dinner...on a very tight budget!
goodness!
I literally had only P80 and a few change of course...and all these I had to stretch so I can get to Rockwell Makati!..that would mean I had nothing else to do but go there and meet up with my friends and go home!
I was really making excuses for them...and wheedling my way out of it...it was so uncomfortable and inconvenient to be going someplace...on a gimik..with no cash on hand...
goodness! the horror! haha
and my friend just told me amidst my pitiful pleading...magtigil ka na...kelan ka pa naginarte?!? pumunta ka na!
and after texting my other friends to learn how to get to Rockwell...I was able to arrive there safe and sound...and minus P67 already! waaa!
goodness! if you only know...and I wasn't even dressed up for a night out haha...and I had my big bag with me with all my paraphernalia from school...yup as my friend said...ang arte nga
and after meeting up...dining at Dencio's (we end up having dinner usually in either Gerry's or Dencio's or that type)...having a bottle of SanMig Light...
and the bill came of course...and I just grinned and said...pwede babawi na lang ako sa susunod...?
then my friend said...bakit sinisingil ba kita?
sabay ngiti ako abot tenga at buntong hininga...
then this made me recall...one of the things I learned from the managing ur finances seminar i attended earlier that day (yup! no joke yun!) the spekaer mentioned that...maybe you don't have to change your lifestyle just because you earn more or what...
and when I was battling my conscience about whether to go ahead and meet up with my friends...I was jokingly saying to myself...
and for those who aren't aware yet...I am a "newbie fan" of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga...and when i saw this link from my student's email...I checked it out and saw the pins...and this one pin (the one at the upper right corner) just made me holler like crazy! haha
you have to go get a copy of Breaking Dawn for you to understand why...
Saw this post from my sittizens barkada =P and thought of reposting it here...
ang tamaan...GUILTY! haha (I honestly am guilty of a few once upon my college life haha)

3. When making describe a whatever, always say "It's SO pang-uri!"

10. Make gamit the pinakamaarte voice and pronunciation you have para full effect!
ex. "I'm, like, making aral at the Arrhneo!" "Me naman, I'm from Lazzahl!"
We were given a memo by our boss and was asked - requested to attend this seminar that she recommends for us...though the speaker's only available schedule is on Monday, August 25 - which is a holiday...
then the memo ends with..."let's look at this as a personal gain rather than a job requirement"
one of the other boss when asked whether it's a requirement to attend the seminar...she retorted..."it's not required...though there's pressure"
and of course the foregone conclusion...it is expected that we would all be attending...since I for one plan to work because of a lot of piled up work...
and I just read this email from my barkada...
which was quite had the same sense of "guilt trip" haha
Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve.... You don't have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. ~Martin Luther King, Jr.
If you think the quote above has no relation to my first thought whatsoever...then my brain is more warped than I thought nowadays...
sorry no spoilers here...so you better get your own copy =P
so after a few weeks...i guess a month of waiting for the last book in the Twilight series...I was able to grab my copy one rainy Friday night in Makati (huwat?!? sa Makati pa haha)
and wanted to assuage my curiousity...and maybe prove the "bad reviews" wrong...i've been reading spoilers and criticisms about Meyer's final book in the series...there are good and bad reviews i guess...but hey as the author said...you can't please everybody... why not write your own book and see if that sells over 1.3M copies on its opening day of release haha
so let me just share some of the critics sentiments...and see why they would have thought differently of the final book...
when i was selecting the genre for this review...i was battling whether to still classify this as a romance or just simply as a teens or fantasy book... coz unlike in the previous books...there were not a lot of romantic scenes or even quotes...so maybe that's where the romantics got all disgruntled about...
another point is that...maybe they have not realized that for some book series...it would be expected that the plot will grow and move into a different direction from wat would be expected... that's what makes the novel even better... it's when you still become surprised of the ending...and is not just any other ordinary preditable series... well it was still predictable in the sense that it had a happy ending...typical Meyer...
so if you guys are like me who are more motivated to buy a book despite reading spoilers and bad reviews about a book...then go ahead and buy this book... IT'S WORTH IT!...all 754 pages of it...
so...I will be anticipating the spinoffs...the movie! (was moved to an earlier release date yey!)...and other things Meyer might be cooking up for her Twilgiht Saga =P
and here I am...been complaining about not having enough time to go to gimmicks...well it's true...so where did I end up (last weekend)? at mall shows!...haha...
that reminds me...the first time I watched Sitti perform live...was at a mall show in Festival Mall wahahah...
The broken clock is a comfort, it helps me sleep tonight Maybe it can stop tomorrow from stealing all my time I am here still waiting though i still have my doubts I am damaged at best, like you've already figured out
I'm falling apart, I'm barely breathing With a broken heart that's still beating In the pain there is healing In your name I find meaning So I'm holdin' on, I'm holdin' on, I'm holdin' on I'm barely holdin' on to you
The broken locks were a warning you got inside my head I tried my best to be guarded, I'm an open book instead I still see your reflection inside of my eyes That are looking for a purpose, they're still looking for life
I'm falling apart, I'm barely breathing with a broken heart that's still beating In the pain is there is healing In your name I find meaning So I'm holdin' on, I'm holdin' on, I'm holdin' on I'm barely holdin' on to you
I'm hangin' on another day Just to see what you will throw my way And I'm hangin' on to the words you say You said that I will be ok
The broken lights on the freeway left me here alone I may have lost my way now, haven't forgotten my way home
A friend forwarded to me this email...and after reading it...I too agreed that these were arrogant statements...and later I recalled...I may have said some of them...or thought of them...wahahaha
